EGS (Electric, Gas & Steam) Training The CFESA EGS Class covers the basic elements of gas, electric, steam for repairing and troubleshooting commercial food equipment. This six day training class is open to all technicians within the foodservice industry and is held throughout the year in various regional locations. Training is from entry-level to advanced. All technician training programs include classroom and hands-on education and testing on the ability to identify and correct problems on many types of commercial cooking equipment. Technicians must be familiar with electric, gas and steam theory, have basic mechanical aptitude and 6 months to 3 years experience in the foodservice industry. Technicians must be dedicated to maintaining a learning environment.
To meet the pre-requisite requirement, purchase and study the Hot Side Training manual. For CFESA members, the cost is $150 for each student manual and $300 for each trainer’s manual. For non-members, the cost is $200 per student manual and $400 per trainer’s manual. Non-members are required to pay in advance, and members will be invoiced. When ready, schedule the online test. CFESA members will be invoiced, and non-members are required to pay in advance. The cost of each test is $25.00. EGS Training Class Registration Fee
$550.00 per technician for CFESA Members, $1100.00 per technician for non-members. As a representative of my company I understand that by completing and submitting this CFESA no Solicitation Tolerance Policy my company and all its employees agree that no solicitation of technicians or employees of any kind will take place before, during or after the training sessions.
