CFESA Member
Benefits
TRAINING
One
main reason for our existence is to promote the highest
standards of professional service in order to improve our
members’ businesses. Continuous education and training are top
priorities in the foodservice industry. To help meet these
needs, CFESA has developed two extensive training programs for
foodservice equipment technicians.
Our technician training and testing programs cover gas,
electric, steam and ware-washing commercial food equipment.
All CFESA technician training programs include classroom and
hands-on education, and testing on the ability to identify,
troubleshoot and repair problems on many types of equipment.
Because manufacturer’s provide the latest equipment for our
use in training sessions the students are assured they are being
taught current and relevant information.
Manager
Training Classes
Our
Service Manager Training class is a three day course
specifically designed to assist service managers in doing their
jobs better, from planning to completion. This course is open to
any manager in the foodservice industry because it focuses on
customer service and the problem solving aspects that are a part
of every manager position, whether it be in a service company,
manufacturer or otherwise. The fee for the class is $550.00 for
members and $1100.00 for non-members.
Customer Service Training Videos
Working
with the National Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers,
we have developed a series of training videos. These videos
demonstrate the importance of and proper methods of good
customer service, and are available through our headquarters.

CFESA
CERTIFICATION
The
Commercial Food Equipment Service Association is committed to
making sure your repair needs are met professionally and
efficiently. To support quality service, CFESA has a
program in which technicians are tested and certified only upon
successful completion of an exam. After passing rigorous
exams, our technicians are awarded seals of excellence in
electricity, gas, steam or refrigeration and given certificates
noting their CFESA Certified Technician status in that area.
Once a technician passes three out of four tests, they are
awarded a Master Technician Certification.
The
CFESA company certification program is designed to acknowledge
those service companies in the industry who have focused their
businesses on the areas of finance, training, company
professionalism, industry relations and participation in CFESA.
The program is designed to recognize service companies
regardless of size as the requirements can be met by small
companies as well as large. The fee for processing the
certification document is $150.00.
